At last, we can officially reveal that in a couple of weeks, Red Brick Market will be moving from its current home to a bigger, lighter & brighter (& hopefully a bit warmer!) space just round the corner, next to the Baltic Market.
You can read all about the move in this fab write up from The Guide (& you might spot my pics in the write up too!)
Of course, my space will be moving too & I can't wait to share some photos of the new layout!
It will be strange leaving the old building, it was 2017 when I first discovered Red Brick Vintage - a treasure trove of quirky! In 2018, Red Brick Hangar was born in the former canning hall of the brewery & I put my first prints on the wall (scary!). With the redevelopment of the vintage side of the building & the arrival of the Lu Ban restaurant, all the businesses moved into the current space, which then became Red Brick Market.
It's taken a lot of hard work to get where I am at the moment, I always find it very stange when people ask "Do you make a lot of money at this?" as I'd never dream of asking someone what their salary was! Other 'Frequently Asked Questions' include "who does your printing?" and "where do you get your mounts/frames from?" - again, this is very much key to the running of my business - I use trusted suppliers, I don't buy the cheapest and it's taken me time to find businesses that work for me. It is my job now, it's not a hobby or a 'side hustle' and I am lucky to be doing something that I feel really passionate about.
I am very much looking forward to seeing what both, the new year and the new location for Red Brick, brings... but I've got a few ideas up my sleeve!
UPDATE : Jan 8th - I'm moving my stock over to the new site today, but it won't open to the public until Jan 14th, so bear with us!
STAY TUNED!
